Taxesanytime.com is an online do-it-yourself tax program using proprietary software that does all the calculations for you, selects the forms you need, fills them in and checks for errors.


2. How does the taxesanytime.com software work? What do I need to get started?

1. You will need your tax information, including forms W-2 and 1099s. Use our handy checklist to collect the items you will need.
2. Log into taxesanytime.com and follow the instructions. Our step-by-step interview will ask all the questions.
3. Once your return is completed, you can pay with VISA, MasterCard, or Discover. Other payment options are electronic checks or, if you qualify, paying from your refund.
4. You can e-file your federal return or print it and send by US mail. State returns can be prepared at no extra cost and e-filed.


3. Can I use the taxesanytime.com software if my tax return is complex – I usually itemize deductions?

4. What if I need to file a return in more than one state? Can I use taxesanytime.com?

You can use taxesanytime.com to file your federal return, but not multiple states (at this time).


5. Can I transfer my information from last year if I used taxesanytime.com for last year’s return?

Yes. You will need last year's password to access last year's information.


6. What are the supported browser types and minimum computer requirements?

Online Filing Guidelines: (as specified by the IRS)
(1) No more than 5 electronic returns may be transmitted originating from the same unique email address.
(2) No more than 5 Online Returns will be allowed from the same IP Address within a sixty-minute time frame.

7. Is my information protected? Is the taxesanytime.com site secure?

Taxesanytime.com uses the highest-level encryption technology commercially available and works with the IRS and state tax authorities to protect all your information. Your information is held in strictest confidence by taxesanytime.com and none of your information is shared with any third party other than the IRS and state tax agencies.


8. Do I have to complete my return in one session?

You do not have to finish your return in one session. Your data is saved and you may log in with your username and password whenever it is convenient for you to complete your return.


9. Does taxesanytime.com save my information?

During the taxesanytime.com interview, the data you enter on each page is automatically stored when you click to go onto the next screen.

If you begin your return but don’t send any data to the taxesanytime.com computers for a period of 20 minutes, you will be logged out to protect your information from an unauthorized person.

Your data will be saved should you get disconnected, or log out, so you can log back in and resume work where you left off.

Your data will be deleted from the taxesanytime.com computers after September 4, 2006 if you start your 2004 return but don’t file it or print it out.


10. Can I save a copy of my return for my records?

After taxesanytime.com has reviewed your return for errors, you will be able to print your return along with any worksheets you choose for your records.


11. Can I retrieve my username or password if I lose them?

Taxesanytime.com will not disclose usernames for security reasons. If you forget your username, call the Taxesanytime support desk for assistance, 800-688-4205.


12. What do I do if I make a mistake?

If you catch your mistake before you have filed your return with the IRS, just change your answer in the entry box. If you don’t discover the mistake until after your return is filed with the IRS, you will have to file an amended return with the IRS or your state.


13. How can I contact the Internal Revenue Service?

For questions, call the IRS at 1-800-829-1040. To receive forms by mail, call 1-800-TAX-FORM.


14. Can I get help while I’m preparing my return at no cost?

Help is available online from taxesanytime.com on a wide range of topics including tax questions, help with the software, technical support, tax terminology and IRS regulations.


15. How do I get my refund or pay taxes if I owe them?

If you’re expecting a refund, you have the option of having the funds deposited directly into your bank account or you can choose to have the check mailed.

If you owe taxes, you can arrange for an automatic withdrawal from your bank account and can specify any date up to April 15, 2006. You can also mail a check with your printed return or with an e-file voucher if you e-file your return.


16. Is e-filing my federal and state returns included in the fee?

E-filing for your federal and state returns is a free service from taxesanytime.com. $24.95 is the only fee you’ll pay to prepare and e-file both your federal and state return.


17. How can I check the status of the returns I file through taxesanytime.com?

You can check the status of your return any time by logging into your return. Your status will be provided as you are logged in.


18. Does taxesanytime.com offer a guarantee?

Fiscal Tax Company, the parent company of taxesanytime.com, will pay for any penalties and interest assessed by the IRS if the taxesanytime.com software makes an error in calculation in the preparation of your return. However, Fiscal tax Company will not be responsible for paying additional taxes as a result of such an error. Usage of taxesanytime.com tax service is governed by the taxesanytime.com End User License Agreement which is presented to you when you register for taxesanytime.com service.


19. How long will it take me to prepare and file my return?

The time it takes to prepare your return will depend on your return. The average is two to four hours. If you can’t finish your return in one session, you can finish it at a later time by logging in with your username and password.


20. What services does the fee cover?

Taxesanytime.com is risk free since you can try it before you buy it. You are not charged until you have entered your tax information and are ready to file. The fee includes preparation of both your federal and state returns and e-filing or printing your completed return.


21. Can I pay the taxesanytime.com fee from my tax refund?

Additional fees apply but if your return qualifies, you have the option of paying the taxesanytime.com fee from your refund.


22. Does taxesanytime.com accept debit cards?

Occasionally bank, ATM or debit cards will not work properly with the taxesaytime.com system. If you have problems using one of these cards, please use a VISA or MasterCard.


23. What is e-filing?

Electronic Filing (e-filing) is a method of transmitting tax return information directly to the IRS which is much faster, more secure and accurate and helps get your refund quicker. Most refunds for an e-filed federal return are received within 10 days versus six to eight weeks for a traditional mailed return.

If you started your return on taxesanytime.com but do not finish prior to September 4, 2006 you will not be able to access your tax information.

No, you will need to input your information.
